Case Number One: 65 Year-old Widow Remarried Top

In the summer of 1996, there was a 65-year-old widow who was trying to sell her residential property without success after many months. After having a look at her house and finding out her exact birthday, Dr. Lu determined that the main entrance of her house needed improvement. Dr. Lu suggested hanging a bagua at the front door to repel bad fortune and repositioning the bed. After blessing the bagua, she determined the proper date and time to hang it according to the woman's chart. Dr. Lu then projected that the woman would not only sell her house by the end of the year, but also a marriage proposal was in sight. To the surprise of the woman, both of these came true. In fact, Dr. Lu was invited to her wedding!

Case Number Two: Cancer Patient Recovers and Research Succeeds Top

There is a well-established doctor and researcher who had negative aspects occurring in her life, including an incurable form of cancer. Dr. Lu determined that the Feng Shui was bad in this woman's apartment, because the main door faced toward death. After learning this from Dr. Lu, the woman moved to a townhouse with good Feng Shui. Dr. Lu was involved in the selection of the new residence to ensure the positive Feng Shui. Now the woman is happy, enjoying improved health and received a half-million dollar grant. When her research was completed, she returned to China. The local Chinese government gave her and her husband a farm for genetic engineering research. By chance, Dr. Lu was visiting China and was passing through Shanghai. So, she was asked to give Feng Shui consultation for their laboratory. Not long after using the remedies she suggested and rearranging the lab, they were able to successfully clone sheep. In 1999, they were successful in cloning cows. Now, she is giving lectures around the world.

Case Number Three: Avoid Bankruptcy Top

IMTRON in Shady Grove was experiencing very bad business and was near bankruptcy. The owner consulted Dr. Lu who determined that the corner of a large, tall building pointed directly at the store. She suggested that he hang a bagua on a specified date and time, after it was blessed, by the front door of the store. The business turned around and became prosperous.

Case Number Four: A Bank In Chinatown Flourished Top

A bank in Chinatown was erecting a new building. During the planning stages, they asked Dr. Lu to work with the architects to ensure proper Feng Shui. Their suites in the building formed an L shape, with one corner missing. Also, there were ceiling beams in the plan. Dr. Lu suggested remedies for the missing part and asked them to construct a lowered ceiling to cover the beams. She also suggested the right colors and directions according to Yin/Yang and the Five Elements. The bank is enjoying very good business.

Case Number Five: University Studies and Health Improved Top

A female student at Penn State University was pursuing two advanced degrees in biochemistry and medicine. Shortly after the semester began, she developed severe sciatica and stress-related tension, which prevented her from addressing her studies. The young woman's mother believed that bad Feng Shui in her daughter's apartment caused these problems. She contacted Dr. Lu to perform Feng Shui consulting. Dr. Lu discovered that in the daughter's room the corner of a column pointed to her leg when she was lying in bed. In addition, a ceiling beam was above her head. Case Number Six: Business and Love Life Improved Top

A woman who lived in a high-rise condominium near the Rosslyn Marriott contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. When Dr. Lu arrived at the apartment, she immediately suspected two problems: money and marriage. First, Dr. Lu noticed that the sharp corner of the elevator pointed directly at the woman's front door. Also, when the woman would open her front door, she would face the staircase, which caused the money problem. In the woman's bedroom, the bed was located in the "five ghosts" position, which cause marital difficulties. The woman then described her specific problems to Dr. Lu. Prior to moving to the apartment the woman and her husband had enjoyed a wonderful relationship. After living there for five months, her husband suddenly left her for another woman and they divorced a year and half later. If she sold the apartment, she stood to lose a great deal of money. Before trying to rent the apartment, she contacted Dr. Lu for Feng Shui consultation. Dr. Lu provided the woman with the correct date and time to relocate her bed to a good position. She also suggested remedies for the problems with the front door. A month later the woman began to earn more money. Three months later she sold her condominium for a high price and made a lot of profit. At the end of the year, her boyfriend proposed marriage.

Case Number Seven: Avoided Divorce and Obtained Job Top

A married couple was having significant problems and planned to divorce. In addition, the wife was being laid off from her job. They could no longer afford their house or car, and the bank was ready to foreclose. At this critical moment, the woman contacted Dr. Lu for help. A family moved to a city in Virginia. Within six months both the mother and the son required surgery. Looking for help, the mother contacted Dr. Lu. When Dr. Lu visited the house she noticed that the corner of the house across the street faced the woman's house. The kitchen stove faced the "death" direction. The bedrooms of the mother and the son also had poor arrangements. All of these factors caused the family's health problems. At the same time, Dr. Lu was asked to consult regarding their business. Case Number Nine: Love Recaptured, Money Regained Top

A young woman lived in an apartment in London. She shared the apartment with a married couple. Prior to moving to the apartment, the young woman had a boyfriend who she dated about twice a week. After she moved to the apartment, the boyfriend suddenly made himself unavailable, using many different excuses. The couple in the apartment had a business in international trade. After they moved to the apartment, their bank froze their account and would not allow the couple to access their money, which was a large amount. At this time, Dr. Lu visited the apartment while she was in London. She observed that the bathroom door faced the door to the young woman's room, so the toilet in effect "flushed" the love away. Dr. Lu also saw that the kitchen door faced the couple's room, so the effect of the stove was like a fire burning the money. After Dr. Lu suggested appropriate remedies, a week later the young woman's boyfriend returned and four other men also approached her for dates. Three weeks after that, the couple's bank informed them that their money was available.

Case Number Ten: 58 year-old Man Found a Job Top

A 58 year-old Oriental man owned a photo shop and had filed for Bankruptcy and had to close the store. After closing the store, he went to school for a year to train for a job in the computer industry, during which time he had no work. When he finished with his training, he applied for a new job and was waiting for the results of his interview. He was worried he would not get the job because of his age. His wife, believing that Dr. Lu could help her family, called Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. Dr. Lu learned that the family had cut a large tree down from in front of their home. The tree had been cut down in the springtime; Dr. Lu suggested that they should have cut the tree down in the fall, when the elements would have been more favorable (fall's element is Metal, which works against Wood; Wood is the element more favorable to spring). This, therefore, went against the balance of nature, causing bad luck. Also, the front door in the house across the street faced their front door. That caused even more bad luck energy (sha chi) because it created interference. Dr. Lu gave the family Feng Shui remedies, and one week later, the wife called to say that her husband had received a letter saying he was hired for the job that he had applied for.

Case Number Eleven: Job Found and Health Improved Top

For a year, a man had been laid off from his job, and his wife had been suffering from health problems. They contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. When she arrived at their home, she found some minor problems with the arrangement inside the house. She recommended that they face their cooking equipment (microwave oven, rice cooker, etc.) in the Longevity direction. She also told them to put their fish tank in the Money location of their house (according to their customized chart). The larger problem was outside the house. There was a narrow path with a large tree next to it that led to the house and then split around it. This blocked the energy. Normally, Dr. Lu would have suggested changing these things, but the property belonged to the City Government, and the couple was not allowed to make changes. The couple did what they could inside the house and left it at that. After several months, they noticed an improvement in the woman's health, and the husband had some improvement in his investment income, although he was still unable to find employment. Coincidentally, a year later, the couple was fortunate enough in that the tree was removed and the path was widened. This allowed the chi energy to flow better; the husband got a job as a Research Center Director.

Case Number Twelve Twelve: Promotion and Money Increased Top

A young woman made an appointment for a consultation, but then canceled because she wanted to save money. A year later, she made a new appointment and ended up wishing that she had not waited. Upon opening her front door you would see the staircase immediately, which caused money problems (the reason she had to cancel her first appointment). Also, her front door faced the front door of the house across the street, which caused misunderstandings and friction with other people, especially at work. About a month after her appointment, she noticed improvements and received a promotion as well.

Case Number Thirteen: Awarded a 6 Million Dollar Contract Top

An Oriental woman who owned her own computer consulting business had a very large office suite. When walking through the main door, one would immediately see another door directly across from it. This caused too much competition for her business. Also, to get to her office (her desk), she had to walk a complicated path through the suite. This made it difficult for work to "come to her" because it blocked the flow of chi (energy). In addition, her desk needed to be moved to the Prosperity/Money position. There were other, smaller problems that affected the rest of her staff. Dr. Lu recommended Feng Shui remedies, which the woman implemented immediately. Within a few months of the changes being made, the woman got a very good government contract for $6,000,000.00, and her business became even more successful.

Case Number Fourteen: Layout Improved in Chinatown Coffee Store Top

A famous coffee chain store, S. B., was preparing to expand by renovating one of their locations in Washington, D.C's Chinatown region. Several design flaws were found when Dr. Lu studied the store blueprints and went to the store in person. She suggested that some changes be made to the store's interior layout. The changes were made, and the managers were extremely pleased with the success of their business.

Case Number Fifteen: Prevented Future Problems Top

A couple had purchased a piece of land with the intention of building a house on it. They consulted Dr. Lu to see if she believed that the property had good Feng Shui before they finalized the sale of the property. Dr. Lu recognized several potential problem areas. She suggested the correct direction in which the house should be facing. She also made suggestions with regard to fixing the irregularities in the shape of the property. Since, the property was an end lot Dr. Lu recommended that they create a circular driveway with appropriate landscaping that had good Feng Shui.

Case Number Sixteen: Restaurant Business Improved Top

An owner of a restaurant in Georgetown consulted Dr. Lu after experiencing very poor business. After careful assessment she noticed that the shape of the building was a triangle. This is very bad because the back comes to a point, the wealth cannot be retained and it promotes bad luck energy (Sha Chi). Furthermore, a T-junction was facing the front entrance which caused bad energy. Dr. Lu remedied the problems by hanging a blessed bagua mirror, at the correct (lucky) time, on the front door to deflect sha-chi and also put the cash register in their wealth sector to activate prosperity of the business. Shortly after the restaurant noticed a major turn around and now people have to phone ahead in order to get a table there.

Case Number Seventeen: From Bankruptcy to Hotel Top

A ten-story building, nearing completion, went bankrupt. A group approached Dr. Lu for Feng Shui advice before purchasing the building. Dr. Lu diagnosed that there was a funneling entrance which is a missing piece caused by the lack of energy flow, therefore, the money cannot come in. Secondly, a staircase was directly facing the front entrance which caused the money to go out. And lastly, the building was not deep enough which caused the inability to retain money. After careful renovation to remedy those problems, the building then went on to become a prosperous hotel.

Case Number Eighteen: Business and Family Prosperity Top

A real estate developer in Virginia was struggling to keep his fledging business afloat. He could not get his business off the ground. He was living in a rented house and was subleasing his office. Dr. Lu visited his office and constructed an astrological (gua) chart for him. She found the office needed some remedies to help improve the prosperity. Mr. S. was pleased with the results and a couple of weeks later, asked that Dr Lu to consult for his (rental) home. Since S. was married, Dr Lu asked for the birth date of Mrs. S. so that she could make a gua for her. The couple also asked for the fortune telling so that they would know the right direction and the proper time to invest. Since the couple was renting, Dr Lu was limited in her options. However because of her experience, she was able to devise the right changes to improve the couples luck and children's health. Thirty months later S was considering the purchase of a house in Virginia. Dr. Lu did a pre purchase consultation and noted that some of the huge trees needed to be cut down to build the addition that the couple wanted. Since it was springtime Dr Lu told the couple that to cut the tree down in the spring is against nature. But if the couple did not cut the tree no renovations could be started until fall. Dr. Lu performed a ceremony so that the tree could be cut in the spring and the renovations were performed according to the principles of Feng Shui. Approximately two months later Mr. S. purchased an eight unit apartment building in Virginia at a total cost of 10 Million dollars. Of course he called in Dr Lu so that he could make the necessary changes to the building's design. He is very happy and his prosperity continues to increase.

Case Number Nineteen: Recovered from Attempted Suicide Top

In 1999 Dr. Lu was called in to consult a tragic case in which a woman had tried to commit suicide because of bad business and an unfaithful husband. The woman gave Dr. Lu her birth date and the time of her birth so that she could construct a gua (chart) according to Chinese astrology before going to the house. Upon arriving at the house, Dr Lu noted the bad feng shui. The rear of the house was downhill and at the foot of the hill was a flowing stream. The front of the house was facing "six conflict" direction to the client's gua. Upon entering the house, Dr Lu noted the three doors in a row which means a third person would interfere. Immediately, Dr. Lu suspected that the occupants of the house must have very bad luck in money and relationships. As the woman told her story, Dr. Lu's suspicions proved correct. The woman had tried to pursue a business in international trading. She had consummated a business relationship with a foreign government only to have the government cancel the contract. Everything seemed set and she traveled to Europe to close the deal. Unfortunately her overseas contact was killed in an automobile accident on the way to the meeting. It seemed that bad luck was following her everywhere she went. Upon returning home to her husband she discovered another woman had been sleeping in her bed. Dr. Lu had perceived this from the three doors lined up in the house. The third door represented an unwelcome party intruding on the marriage. Dr. Lu suggested some remedies. Some time later the woman got a very good job offer and moved to California. The client has called Dr. Lu to fly to her new location for a pre-purchase consultation.

Case Number Twenty: Remodeled Restaurant Succeeds Top

A chef, after saving some money, bought a bankrupted restaurant and invited Dr. Lu to give Feng Shui consultation. Dr. Lu discovered that the main entrance faced an electricity pole. Also, the front door was located to one side of the building causing it to be out of balance. A narrow walkway was constructed at the entrance which blocked the energy from flowing freely in. The restroom was built on the "money-spot" and the cash register was placed on the "disaster" position. Dr. Lu suggested that they reposition the front door to the middle of the building, open the narrow walkway, exchange the position of the restroom and the cash register, and place a couple of potted plants at the front door. Afterwards, their business bloomed.

Case Number Twenty-One: Apartment Complex Prospered Top

A successful Real Estate developer bought nine rental apartment complexes, each having four units. Business was good and they are getting more tenants, but they only stay for a short term. Also, some of them refuse to pay rent. So, Dr. Lu was contacted for a Feng Shui consultation. She discovered that there were three major problems with the office. The office was located at a "T"-junction; you were able to see through three doors to the outside; and the room where the business transactions were performed was facing the restroom and the cash table was placed in the "six-conflict" position. The problems for the nine apartment buildings were 1) the front doors were facing each other, 2) the doors were facing sharp corners, 3) the doors were facing electricity poles, 4) some of the buildings had the right side (White Tiger) higher than the left (Green Dragon), providing no protection, and 5) some of the buildings have streets behind them or sloping hills which causes the tenants to move away. So, Dr. Lu suggested that they hang a bagua on a specified day and time, after it was blessed, above the front door, that they position two street lamps in front of the front door, move the cash table to the "money-spot", and some other remedies for the buildings. Soon, the business took a turn for the better.

Case Number Twenty-Two: Wife Found Top

A divorced, but successful and handsome man could not find the right girlfriend. He felt lonely and a lot of despair, so he contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. She found that his bedroom had cathedral ceilings and ceiling beams which causes the "sha-chi"(bad energy), the bed was positioned in the "disaster" position, the headboard was placed behind the toilet which "flushed" the love away. She suggested that he move to another bedroom and that the bed be placed in the "assistant" position (your wishes come true). After a week, he met the right girl and a few months later, they were preparing for marriage.

Case Number Twenty-Three: Savings Accumulate and Sleeping Disorder Solved Top

A family in McLean contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. As she entered the front door, she saw the fireplace and the stove in the kitchen which burns the money and causes sadness, she could also see through to the outside which means that the money enters the front door and exits the back, the son's bedroom door faces a sharp corner, has two doors, four closet doors, and three windows painted dark blue, the floor is patterned in black/white checkerboard pattern, the furniture were either black or dark brown (too much yin), the back of his chair can be seen from the door which takes away from his sense of safety, and his bed is in the "death" position, all of this together caused his sleepiness. So, Dr. Lu suggests that they block one of the doors, paint the room in bright colors, place the bed in "heavenly healing" position, move the desk to the "assistant" position, block the fireplace, and hang a wind chime on a specified day. Not long after, the family's financial situation improved and so did the son's sleepiness.

Case Number Twenty-Four: CPA License Obtained Top

A person was trying for a CPA license for several years but without success. So, Dr. Lu was contacted for a Feng Shui consultation. She found that there was a huge tree in front of the front door which blocked the energy from flowing in, the door to the study faced the bathroom door which flushed away his luck, the fireplace was inside the study which burned away his luck, and the desk was placed in the "death" position. Dr. Lu suggested that they choose a good day in autumn to cut down the tree, move the study to another room without a fireplace and not facing the bathroom, and place the desk in the "growth" (prosperity) position. Half a year later, he passed the test and received his CPA license.

Case Number Twenty-Five: Health and Finances Recovers Top

A family contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. She predicted that they had three major problems: 1) the lady of the house either had a major surgery or a terminal illness, 2) they had lost much money, 3) they have had arguments and friction at work. They were very surprised because the lady of the house learned that she had cancer last year, the husband had lost a large amount of money, and have had major arguments and friction with co-workers. The reason for their problems was attributed to their house being located at a "T" junction, the front door faced the "death" position, the bed in the master bedroom located in the "death" position, and the stove faces "five ghost" position. Dr. Lu suggests moving but since they can ill-afford it, they should open another door and move the stove so that its facing the "longevity" position, move the bed to the "heavenly healing" position, plant a row of pine trees and light posts in the front yard and reposition the driveway to avoid the "T" junction. Dr. Lu was visiting a financial advisor when she discovered some problems with the office and suggested a Feng Shui consultation. Dr. Lu also predicted that she has had severe headaches, a high level of stress and strong business competition. It was because her office is facing a stairway which causes the money to run away, her desk was facing the door with her back facing window (no support) which takes away from the sense of security, one corner of the skylight is directly above her head which causes the headaches, and her desk is located in the "six conflict" position. Dr. Lu suggested that she reopen the door so that it does not face the stairs, move the desk to the "growth" position, hang a gourd by a red string in her office (helps the money come), also hang some plants and a picture of a golden fish in the office. After a few months, her business improved and she had to hire assistants, her headaches got better and a year later, she bought a house in Potomac and again called Dr. Lu for a consultation.

Case Number Twenty-Seven: Middle Age Woman Married Top

An attractive, successful middle-aged woman could not get a marriage proposal. Many men dated her but never more than three to five times. So, she invited Dr. Lu to her condo for a Feng Shui consultation. Dr. Lu found that her bedroom door faces a sharp corner (block men from coming), the bed was placed in the "disaster" position, and there was a toilet above her which flushed her love away. Dr. Lu suggested that she move to another room, move the bed to the "assistant" position (wish comes true) on a lucky day and two weeks later, an old boyfriend returned to date her again. Several months later, a marriage proposal was received.

Case Number Twenty-Eight: Family and Business Problems Resolved Top

A dentist was having problems with both her family and business. Dr. Lu went to her home and found that the front door faces a sharp corner, the furniture were placed sidewise (slanted) so it was facing sharp corners all the time, the carpet and the curtains in the master bedroom were a dark blue, the furniture in the master bedroom were dark brown, the bed was placed sidewise in the "five ghost" position, a large dark green oil painting of a dark brown alligator with its mouth open and many sharp teeth was hanging above the bed (too much yin and misfortune energy), the daughters' beds were either not supported or facing sharp corners (causing arguments), and the babysitter's bed was in the middle of the room without any support. Dr. Lu suggested that they place all the furniture so that none were facing any sharp corners, that the master bedroom be repainted in soft colors, that they replace the oil painting and that all the accessories be in pairs, and that they place some roses in the bedroom as well. They rearranged the furniture in the children's' and the babysitter's rooms, and placed a blessed bagua on the front door on a specified date and time. The relationship between the couple improved, the children fought less, and the babysitter was able to stay longer. Then, Dr. Lu was contacted for a Feng Shui consultation for her rental clinic. The clinic was located in a end of the hallway of the building (bad energy circulation) and it had some other problems, after Dr. Lu made suggestions for rearrangements and remedies, the business improved. Two years later, she invited Dr. Lu to her newly bought Chevy Chase condo and her new large office suite for a Feng Shui consultation.

Case Number Twenty-Nine: Medical Center Beats Competitors Top

Because of strong competitions and decreased revenue, a medical center in Maryland contacted Dr. Lu for a Feng Shui consultation. She discovered that the front door of the building faced the front door of another building, they had too many doors on the inside with the doors facing each other and three in a row, some of the rooms have many doors, the building is irregularly shaped, missing the "fortune" part, one of the directors' office has a sharp corner facing the desk, another has the desk facing the door, another has the desk in the "disaster" position, one accountant has his back facing the door, and another has the desk in the "death" position.
